Whatever your take on competition, it’s hard to deny that it will show the true colors of what’s working (and isn’t) in your Jiu Jitsu game:

Even if competition isn’t something that becomes a regular hobby for you, I do think everyone should try it at least once.

Is Meregali just salty about this loss, or is lapel guard a real issue for gi Jiu Jitsu? Personally I think a lot of the lapel guards used by modern players can be really exciting. Let’s hear what you all think…
